Collaboration with physical therapists, ENT’s, sleep physicians, or other holistic providers
Are oral appliances comfortable? Will I have to wear one forever?
Most patients find oral appliances very comfortable after a short adjustment period. They are custom-made to fit your mouth and address your specific condition. Our goal is not permanent appliance use, but rather to use them as supportive tools while we help restore normal, healthy function.
Do you prescribe medications or perform surgery?
No. Our philosophy centers on non-pharmacological and non-surgical methods. We aim to relieve symptoms and correct dysfunction through conservative, restorative care. In complex cases, we work in collaboration with trusted medical specialists if further intervention is needed.
How is sleep apnea related to the jaw or bite?
The structure of your jaw, tongue, and airway all play a role in how you breathe during sleep. If these structures collapse or narrow, airflow can be restricted, leading to snoring or sleep apnea. A misaligned bite or weak airway tone can contribute to these issues—something we evaluate closely as part of our whole-body assessment.
Do I need a sleep study before treatment?
If you’re dealing with sleep-disordered breathing (such as snoring or apnea), we may recommend and provide a home sleep study or refer you to a sleep physician to ensure we have the right diagnosis before beginning treatment. We’re happy to guide you through that process.
Is this type of care covered by insurance?
Coverage can vary depending on your diagnosis and the type of insurance you have. In many cases, oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea is covered by medical insurance. We’re happy to help verify your benefits and explain your options clearly before you begin care.
